Through fiction and painting, I explore identity, power, and the stories we tell ourselves about who we are.
I'm interested in the ways images and narratives contribute back to the world, furthering the dialogue within both intimate, private experiences and the public sphere.
Although I work across multiple disciplines, I think of them as part of a single creative practice. Each has contributed to the way I think about storytelling, composition, rhythm, and emotional expression, and each continues to inform the others.

My creative practice
Writing
I write fiction shaped by close observation, psychological tension, and characters who are often divided against themselves. My work is grounded in craft, revision, and the long process of discovering what a story is truly asking to become.
Visual art
My paintings explore many of the same questions as my writing, using color, light, and the human figure to examine identity, politics, and the emotional weight of everyday experience. Each work is an invitation to look longer and see differently.
Mentorship
Every writer needs a thoughtful reader. Through one-on-one coaching, editorial guidance, and manuscript consultation, I help writers develop work that is ambitious, authentic, and unmistakably their own, while further honing their voice.
